Qamsar

Qamsar  is one of the most beautiful cities in Iran, which has a worldwide reputation. The existence of many gardens of roses, pure rose and rose water ceremony has made this city famous. In addition to nature and gardens full of Mohammedan flowers, Qamsar has a unique climate that has turned it into a piece of heaven in the heart of Iran in the spring.

Qamsar is located 40 km northwest of Natanz and 25 km south of Kashan. In the past, this city was called Qam Sar and it was located on the Silk Road, that’s why it had a special place.

Today, Qamsar has become one of the main hubs for the production of rose water and spirits, and every year many tourists from all over Iran and the world travel to this city in the spring  to visit Qamsar Kashan’s rose water ceremony. Some historians believe that this city dates back to before Islam  And the presence of coins in the foothills of the Ashk mountains in the northeast of this city, which are related to the Achaemenid period, also proves this claim.. In addition, the two buildings of Shah Abbasi Caravanserai and Imamzadeh of Shahsavaran also indicate that this area is more than 2500 years old.

In the past, this area was considered the best summer resort in Kashan due to its flowing rivers, mild climate, and beautiful flower gardens, and it had many fans. Rose-water harvesting in Qamsar Kashan has a long history, and workshops for rose-water harvesting were built near the gardens of Mohammadi flowers. Usually, the rose water season in this city starts from the middle of April and lasts until the middle of May.

This city is considered one of the most important tourist destinations in Iran and has many sightseeing places and tourist attractions. But what has made most of the tourists choose Qamsar for their trip is the gardens full of roses and the beautiful and memorable rose ceremony held in this city.

In addition to the rose-water ceremony, other festivals and ceremonies are also held in this city, among which we can mention the special Tasua ceremony of Qamsar and the baking of bread named after Abbas Ali.
